As I promised yesterday,.. I finally finished Tokyo Jihen - Killer Tune Bass Tab..
I remember I was planned to translate this song on my very free days,.. it almost December anyway, I should get more free days or maybe less busy day. Weeks ago when I firstly tried to translate this song it was so damn hard.. I cant even trace the bass notes. Too bad I thought, coz this song is fun, especially with the walking bass. So I keep it for later, when I got most of the time and great concentration. That was I thought. Just because I cant sleep with wet hair, so I browse a little on the internet; I always got shower when I came back home from work.
Then I do the "googling" on the google, and try to find a band vacant on my town via internet. Well, after finished post my CV of "fair/noob bassist, looking for a band, genre japan rock jazz pop.. etc etc" on one of those musical community forums, I go to google to search for any good tabs I could think of. But when I search "tokyo jihen killer tune bass tab" google returns one you-tube link, somebody already made a cover for the bass. The video is nice I think, the bass player is good. I suddenly Inspired, but especially because my hair were still wet, I grab my bass and try to translate this song again.
and .. tadaaaa... this is the result. Took me 4 hour yesterday, I might not go to sleep if it's not workdays. It's just an irony; not like planned before, I finish this song in my very busy workdays. Currently I handle 5 project on the office. Got one that killing my time the most, got one that killing my brain the most, and the rest might go the same. I need money to live anyway. That's why we go to work, right? hehe..
So I feel my life is pathetic, I still cant maximize my musical life, something I really really wanna do the most, join a band or jamming or maybe being serious and go to recording etc.. But I also know that I'm lucky I got life that others can only dream of..
Makes me realize that life sometimes ain't turn out the way we hoped it would. Some dreams don't matter so much anymore,.. left behind in the realm of impossibleness... but, life still goes on.. it never wait and never care. I guess maybe it's too late or maybe I step on wrong direction.
But we shall cherish what we got right now, right?

When I cant Sleep
Ugh.. I cant sleep.. so I transcribe the Tokyo Jihen - Killer Tune Bass Tabs.. Well, it's so hard, especially when I'm sleepy..

Otsuka Ai - Heart Bass Tab
Phew,.. after few stressing days finally I got some spare time to balance my life. I think after too much work, enjoying my spare time for my own things are felt really2 great.. Well maybe because this Thursday everything seems to be all set, I think I'm gonna get a very peaceful weekend tomorrow.. hehe tomorrow is still friday anyway.. a drop of bomb may ruin my weekend,.. no one knows..
About my spare time, I got nearly an hour or two everyday to play music, watching anime, read books,.. but because I promise to post Otsuka Ai - Heart bass tab, so I spent all to do write it. Well, it took me two days to finish it.. it's done anyway so please enjoy it. You'll find it below this post.
Yesterday or a day before, can't remember exactly when, my friend show me videos from rising sun rock fes 2007, while watch it, I kept thinking: when do I perform on a stage like them (I watch dragon ash, bump of chicken, ellegarden, max th hormone, etc). Too bad I quit from my band months ago.. Well I realize, work is important too, getting money for living is sure important. But, if I'm going to be this busy for all of my life, I cant never make my dream come true, I always wanted to be in a successful band.. what an irony, right now writing this, I'm watching tokyo jihen dynamite out video concert, what a perfect flawless band..
A little bit story about my band, I was recruited by the vocalist, which also the head of the band. It's a punk-rock band,. I really like Ellegarden, so punk-rock is okay with me. First they plot me to play electric guitar as melody.. but I was really bad on that, so I was kicked,.. but not long until they fired their bassist, so there I was, playing bass for the band. It's quite an experience for almost 6 months, playing in a band, two live performance. I think it's good. Good enough until I realized that I got no money left.. hehe.. silly me I was unemployed, just resigned from my old company.. so when I got this opportunity to work on a project with good pay, I just took it.. Well the other things are my band shown no good prospect to the future, plus other few consideration. So I quit the band, because I have to move to another city.
it's 8 months ago, more or less, for quite a sort time there I felt that I really be full of my self when I was in the band, well work on your hobby is a really great living. I think I should get into musical school rather than IT. Even though I'm proven good on IT, I can't stop thinking what would I be if I graduated from musical school.. arrgh, I have to be in a band no matter what.
Well not a punk band again I hope, punk-rock's bass are stiff hehe.. this time I prefer normal pop or jazzy pop or some alternative where I can play bass freely.. band like Tokyo Jihen is my perfect picture.. the bass tune is killing.. hehe.. I remember I also translate the bass tab of some of their songs.. maybe I'll post them here anytime soon.

Otsuka Ai - Kumuri Uta - Bass Tab
Well,.. hello,.. I'm in a very good mod right now and finally finish writing Outsuka Ai - Kumuri Uta bass tab.
Honestly there are few notes that hard to catch by my ears,.. maybe my Creative 5.1 speaker is not good for listening bass, but sure it's good for movie or music... hehe.. well next time I'll use my Philips headset instead.. cheap stuff but got crystal clear and sharp bass sound. Too bad, I left it in my office, maybe I'll wirte Otsuka Ai - Heart using it.
Also you'll find I split 4/4 into 2-1-1 it's because it takes to long and it will be truncated if I write it in one line. And almost in every Otsuka Ai song, there are few 4/5. I also separate it here, it's the [5th of 4/5]. Well I'm not graudated from musical school so, please forgive me if my style of writing tabs is weird.. ^^
But I can guarantee you that I do my best here. Even though I can hardly reads musical score, I play piano fairly, I play gutar better, I play bass best, and intermediate on drum; If I sing, you can't tell the difference of my voice and Bryan Adams,.. hahaha.. Imagine if there were five of me, then I could form a band of myself.. More importantly, I understand and can write bass tabs..

Otsuka Ai - Pocket - Bass Tab
After installing 20 PC Games, I found myself in a stupid boredom. I dont know what's so wrong about games these days, they all just very good on Graphic but sucks on gameplay and especially the storyline.
So I decided to get my bass guitar I lend my friend months ago. I think music maybe will lighten up my life, because it's so hard to be a little bit "positive" lately,.. My life is sucks anyway..
I got three guitars,.. an electric bass, an electric guitar, and a classic guitar. Well I think Im gonna recruit some friend and form a band or something.. I quite good on playing bass.
I like this song from otsuka ai,.. My friend tells me that she will do me good. Well, silly me, I've known Otsuka Ai song since a year ago and know how to play the guitars or bass,.. I think I'll search my files and publish them here..

Mouse Ninjutzu
I lay awake in my bed with my half sleepy eyes. As I just felt my peaceful sleep came, ding, I heard a slightly rock falls, like spoon hit a glass or something..
Damn I knew it must be a mouse raid again.. darn..!!
And I was right. I quickly step outside my room, walking to the stairway and look around, I found nothing. But as I turn my back, arrghh.. fuck!!, as a freaking stupid mouse runnin fast towards me.. damn it, Im half sleep, I lost my guard and Im freaked out trying to find for something to throw at it.
The lucky bastard gone away. That bastard was a big mouse, as big as my 42 sized shoe. Then I spent my one sleep-hour to looking for this stupid mouse.. and still couldnt find it anywhere..
So here I am, sweating, tired, and so angry typing in this entry in my 17 degree Celsius room.. just trying to colling down a little...

Fireman
I think Im not that old to feels like Im already old. I try my best to enjoy life, even though the way the life is sucks. But somehow I feel life just never being kind to me.
Before I went home, I talked with my friend overseas. While we talking about work and stuff, I just realized that I have to spent so many efforts to do my job here even those trivial things. I know Im new in this company, as a pro I know how to behave and how to do my job. Hell I've been down in this industries since years ago. But knowing the fact that I am new here, I just dont get it why others could barely help me. I have so many questions that nobody in the team could answer straightly, so I had to circle around lookin for clues. Wasting so much of my precious time there.
But I'm still happy with this company Im currently in. I think it's the best I ever had. But I see like a pattern that life flows me through. A fireman pattern. I found that every time I moved into a new company, I would be the fireman there. It's just bad luck or I don't know what, but I always had a tight deadline, high pressure project and a hell of so not helping team mates. Hmm.. actually it's not that bad, but you can picture it like that. It's like jumping into a burning company and all I have to do is fight the fire alone.
But, I survived, the fire is off and nothing is burning again. Thanks to me. Everybody happy,.. but not me. Now that is the bad part. Something suddenly came to draw me apart until finally I quit. Insecure, minor harassment, or maybe I'm just being stupid. But I quit when the fire is stop burning. Nobody ever fires me, they wont do that. They know how good I am.
Maybe Im asking too much of this life. Maybe Iam always burning with pride, so I take a 'fireman' job happily. I dont know, but I think I do want a happy life. At least I wish I had no tight stressful deadline, I wish I had no 'so little time too much to do', and nice peaceful work. It's good to came home early. Taking too much overtime mess my daily routine. My life seems unbalance. Too many work things I guess. But again, if it's all not that, then what's there for me? A boredom of a life time ?? no way, thanks.
Every time I look around I see other people's life is worse than mine. But I also see others that have it better than mine. I've been thinkin what if my life is worse than this. And I also have been thinkin what it's like if it's better. I found it relative. Whether it worse or better I always have something to loose and something to win. I'm not afraid of loosing and I like win, but again, I dont see the point there, It's not what I seek.
So I dont want any better or worse than this life. Fuck, I dont know what I want anyway. I think I should be happy doing this "fireman" job. Because it's what I have. I've experienced fighting to have it better and I also let it loose to be worsen sometime. There is no point of which way I should go. I think wherever I stand, it is best for me for some reason. That's why Im livin this life like a dead man. Im going where the wind blows, doing what I am doing, others like it or not, just fuck off. And yes about that, maybe it seems like I dont care for others, but that's how I care for others. I live not to hurt other people doesnt mean I care for them. It's only what life I want to live in, so I do it my way. So does how I did my job all the time. When I see it worth, I will fight. But when it's off, Im done.
I dont know, as a fireman, maybe I like it burning. I think I would never understand why I chase the fire all the time.
